How Treadmill Training Works in +1 Hair Escape

Walk onto a treadmill and your hair grows faster than the normal +1-at-a-time rate. How training starts, what it costs and what the paid passes add.

In +1 Hair Escape, the treadmill is the one piece of equipment the developer directly ties to faster hair growth. The game's own how-to-play text sets the baseline — you "Grow your hair +1 at a time" — then adds the reason treadmills exist: "train on treadmills to grow it even FASTER." Starting a session takes no menu, purchase, dialogue or keybind. You walk onto the treadmill, and your hair grows while you train.

How to start treadmill training

The treadmill is a walk-up station in the game world, not a menu option. A new player reaches it on foot — in one first-session recording, the player walked straight to it minutes after spawning — and a level-8 player in a separate playthrough returned to it mid-session specifically to lengthen hair.

  1. Walk to the treadmill. No purchase, dialogue or button press is needed to engage it.
  2. Walk onto the belt. One playthrough states the step exactly as an instruction: "walk on to the treadmill to grow."
  3. Watch your character. Growth is the success sign — the first-session player reacts to new hair immediately after stepping on, and the second player later shows hair "much bigger" (muito mais grande) than before.

That's the entire interaction. Basic training also shows no observed gate: the first-session player states they have no Robux, spawns bald, and still grows hair on the treadmill right away, with no level or unlock requirement mentioned. The only paid part of the system is the optional pass ladder below.

What the treadmill actually changes

The developer's description is the clearest statement of the mechanic: hair grows "+1 at a time" normally, and treadmill training makes it grow "even FASTER." Independent tracker pages reproduce that text unchanged for the same game, and a Japanese-language guide paraphrases it the same way — +1 at a time, faster on the treadmill.

How much faster is not documented. No source states a multiplier for the basic treadmill or a per-second growth rate, so the honest expectation is "faster than +1 at a time, exact amount unknown." One small unknown also affects how you'd idle: whether the belt requires you to keep walking or grows hair while you stand on it is not documented either.

The game's store reinforces that treadmill speed is a growth stat: five of its eight game passes are treadmill upgrades named as multipliers — x8, x12, x25 Super, x100 Hyper and COLOSSAL — a ladder that only makes sense if the treadmill drives the hair-growth rate.

Signs your training is working

The observable result is length. Hair grows while you're on the treadmill — immediately in the first-session recording, and noticeably in the level-8 playthrough, where the player grows hair on purpose before attempting the game's jump challenges. That length is the point: hair is your tool in this game, used to aim across giant gaps and to zipline down from anchors high above the drops. Neither recording shows a session ending or a cap being hit; how a training session stops, or whether growth caps at some length, is not documented.

If you want to push the speed further, the store sells premium treadmill variants as Robux game passes — purchases, not in-game unlocks:

PassPriceFirst listed

x12 TreadmillR$249Sep 23, 2026
x25 Super TreadmillR$499Sep 28, 2026
x100 Hyper TreadmillR$1,299Sep 28, 2026
COLOSSAL TreadmillR$3,999Sep 28, 2026

A few things to know before buying. The x-names imply multipliers, but COLOSSAL carries no stated multiplier in its name, and no pass has a documented effect beyond its name. Whether the premium treadmills are separate machines placed in the world or multipliers applied to the same treadmill — and whether multiple passes stack with each other or with rebirth boosts — is not documented. Prices and listing dates come from third-party store and stats listings captured in September 2026, when x100 Hyper and COLOSSAL were still marked "New," so treat them as a snapshot that can change.

Where treadmill training fits

Treadmill training is the free, available-from-minute-one way to beat the +1 baseline, and it's the step every player takes before their hair is long enough to be useful. Once it is, put it to work with how to cross gaps.
